I found this strange creature in my order of macro last night...

I think it's a medusa worm but I don't know much about them.... have him in a container in my sump till I can get a better idea of what it is

I wouldn't put it in my tank.... they get scary big like I think Corey price found one that was 6 feet long

They can get quite large over time, right now its only about 1.5 inches long by about the width of a pencil. From my understanding this particular type of medusa worm is a general detritivore and is a fairly docile creature. I would like to find an Emporer Shrimp as they form a commensal symbiotic bond. Some day in the future the pair will go from the tiny pico tank to my larger reef tank, and when they outgrow that will need to be givin a new home.
