About a month back I replaced my sandbed in my 29 biocube.  I'd been struggling with cyano and hair algae...no matter what I did.  Best decision I ever made.  Anyway, when I was sifting through the old sand to pull out as many organisms as I could... I was alarmed at the fact that there was NOTHING in the old sand bed.  (Crushed coral).  Only a couple Nassarius snails.  No bristle worms.  No tube worms.  No Spaghetti worms.  No pods... I've had the tank a little over a year, maybe 18 months and got it second hand and kept the sand-bed thinking it was mature and healthy. Bad idea.   I'm thinking some cataclysmic event happened before I got the tank and that's why they sold it.  I didn't take any of their rock.  Just the tank and sand, and I didn't neglect it THAT badly.

All that aside, I was hoping one or two of you would be willing to give me a piece or two of rock out of some of your mature systems and maybe a cup of live-sand and/or a bit of chaeto?  I'd just like to reseed my system with micro-fauna/flora from some successful tanks in the area and the more that I can pull from the more diverse they will be.   I'm not asking for any of your prized display live rock.  I'd be happy with a golf-ball sized piece of rubble from your sump or something similar.

Thanks for your consideration,
Skyler
