so I just moved into a new place and want to set up a tank again. I have a 75 and everything needed to run it but conceded that this home can't handle the weight. I moved into a trailer/manufactured home and not sure if it can support it. Otis on a foundation but they are cinder blocks. Let me know what you think

Call the manufacturer of the home and ask about the load bearing of the floor. My 2 cents
54 gallon rimless mixed
EA sump
1 year running

Water is about 8 lbs per gallon. Multiply that by 75g. Add a couple hundred lbs for a stand, sump, rock, equipment, etc. Add a factor of safety in, and you're looking at about 2 lbs per square inch. You can play with the numbers to suit your exact setup.

Make sure to distribute the load...don't use the stand's legs directly on the manufactured floor. I'd use a pice of solid wood under the stand to help distribute the load across the floor joists. Make sure to take that weight into consideration too.

That's the technical method and I recommend it.

Here's the "seat of the pants method. Wink
If an adult can jump up and down in one spot without punching through the floor, it will hold a medium sized aquarium.

Thanks mark. That info is helpful. The stand that I have is a solid base does not have separate legs would it be fine or do you still recommend the board

The solid base will do the same job as the board that ReefdUp wisely recommended be used if and in case the aquarium stand had only four legs touching the floor.

Or you could put down a larger base to help distribute the load across more area and joists.
