I have a small cotton candy/red hair algae problem, while I am trying to reduce nitrates in the tank, do you guys know of any reliable consumers of that kind of algae?

I am using nitrate reducing pads at the moment, and have cut feeding down to once every two days with weekly water changes of 20% of the tank capacity.  What else can I do to remove nitrates?

Word everyone, thanks!

Turbo snails love the stuff. I have always had good luck with them and cotton candy algae.   I keep a few turbos in my sump to keep it under control.

My zebra turbos don't pay any attention to it, should I be looking for a different turbo?
