Subject: How many tanks do you have?
Date Posted: August 24 2004 at 6:55am

I was hoping to post a poll... (jake) .....

I have noticed in this hobbie that people either have one or two tanks, or twenty.

What are all your tanks, and where in the house are they? Maybe you will find people with similar ideas.

  1. I'll start with my 80 gallon reef in the living room as you walk throught the front door
  2. then my 55 gallon FO headboard (bedroom)
  3. now the updated computeroom .... one 75 gallon turtle tank with 2 small  soft shelled turtles
  4. 55gallon long water monitor tank (computer room)
  5. 30 tall mesh camelien tank (computer room)
  6. my buddies 30 gallon bearded dragon (computer room)
  7. does a 10 gallon cricket cage count?
  8. well the turtles used to be in the kitchen..... now theres nothing..... DOWNSTAIRS off to the left my 280 FW South american catfish tank
  9. behind the coutch is my soon departing 55 gallon FW crab tank
  10. next to the TV is my NEW (to me) 120 FW community tank

well that was fun.... Anyone have likeminded houses?

150 gallon reef in my at work office. (w/60 gallon sump)

75 gallon fresh water planted tank in my home office.

20 gallon fresh water Gourami & Angel species tank in my home office.  (Also includes my Black Ghost Knife.)

10 gallon Guppy grow out tank in my home office.

Comming soon:

30 gallon tall Damsel tank in my home office. (I think...may end up at the work office for lack of room at home.)

If it sounds like my home office is really a fish room you're probably right.  At this rate I will have to move the desk and computer out soon.

Oops! Forgot that one! And, Rob is getting me another pond for the
front yard, with a dolphin fountain!! But, I'm going to bleach it. If it
doesn't have fish or bugs, does it still count? I mean, it will have a
dolphin fountain!

What grade are you in?

I buy it by the bucket, but have a big tank. I think a bag does 50
gallons, and runs about 20 bucks. You need to be able to change 10
percent of the water every 2 weeks.

okay.

I am in the 10th grade.  Saddly I am the only one in the school that thinks of saltwater fish other than food.

I used to have 6FW tanks, but when I moved into my own house. I bought my 150SW and a 180FW and sold the rest (55,2-25,10,5,2.5). Oh, forgot about the 10 gallon at my desk at work (FW) still have that, but thinking about replacing it with a nano.

It's my mom's fault, she got it stuck in my head, that if you have more than 2 fishtanks in your house, you start to look like a LFS.

I just picked up a 6 gal Eclipse at DI. It is in my office at work.  Looking to make it a nano.  I am interested in your set-up.  How is yours set up?

I replaced the lamp, filter pad and bio-wheel.  It is now curing 3" of Bear Lake sand and about 15 lbs of Utah Tufa Rock. I have filled it with change out water and about a pound of C. serrulatta and chaetomorpha from the 200 gal reef.
