Im fairly new to the board, and have seen pics of many of your tanks in past "show off your tank" threads, but was hopeing to start a new thread about sumps/refugiums. I know some people use simple rubbermaid tots, some have elaborate acrylic multi-chamber units and some don't use them at all, but as someone new to the hobby (about a year) I would really like to see and hear what you use. A pic and a simple explanation would be great.
.
Mine is pretty simple. I took a 20 gallon tank and divided it into 3 sections. I have a HOB overflow on my 65 tank that drains into the 1st chamber. I have a remora HOB skimmer that skimms that water and then dumps it int the middle chamber which has a 4 inch DSB about an inch of Rubble Rock and the water volume is completely filled with macro (chaeto) with thousands of pods. I just use a cheap walmart light that is on about 18 hours a day. The water then flows into the 3rd chamber which is where i have a AC sock and Phosphate remover sock hanging just about a maxijet 1200 that pumps the water back up to the tank. Very low flow, probably around 100 GPH. Here's a pic. Please post a pic of your sump/fuge as I think most people would be as interested as I am. Thanks

I have a lot of water splashing right there so it is to keep down and contain the splash.
