Sometimes when you post something in the classified section your post can get pushed to page 2, 3... pretty quick if the message board is pretty busy and people are posting stuff,so people will post "bump" to get it back on page 1. Hope that makes senseSmile

Everytime someone responds to a post, it gets bumped back to the top of the page.  It's common for people to "bump" their own post to try and generate more traffic.

Yeah - it makes sense, like the original person posting it would do a bump right so his/he updated list is now first ? is that a good example ? Or why would a buyer bump ? ALSO - how does one bump ? can buyer and poster do it ? THNX

It's when you accidentally run into someone.

A buyer could BUMP a post, but why would they?  They will usually post something substantive in the thread and that automatically BUMPS the post.  A seller may BUMP the post rather than posting something more substantive if they have nothing else to say on the subject and its quick.  This could also be used in a forum where someone is asking a question and not getting a response but their post is disappearing down the list of threads.

A "Super BUMP" is actually only available to the moderators.  It's called a Sticky Topic.Wink

I think from now on rather than just posting "BUMP" or "ttt" we should start posting "Hey, look at my post already!!!" LOL
