hi, i have a very tempermental skimmer. it hardly ever works properly. when i plug it in, it over flows immediately on the lowest flow setting. then out of nowhere it will work fine if i continue to unplug, and plug back in. any suggestions?

also, which light bulb should i buy for my Sump? i just have a clip on light fixture.

Sounds like you have the skimmer in to deep of water. What brand and model of skimmer is it?
