I don't spend a ton of time at my computer, and I'm coming from a club about 1/10th the size of this one.  I'm a bit overwhelmed as to where to start.  If there isn't one that I just missed then a "newbie" page would be great....something along the lines of "New members start here".

Am I correct that the Mountain Reef thing is the next club function?  What exactly is it?  I'm reading all sorts of weird things (cabinet of curiousities???) and I haven't gotten a great grasp of it all.  It seems like a mini-MACNA sortof with speakers, raffles, frags for sale, etc.  Do you guys need some help?

I was wanting to become a member, so can I pay at the Mountain Reef thing (or would it be better to join before if there's a discount to members or something?)  What are the member benefits?  (You don't have to sell me on a membership...I was just wondering.)

Anything else I can do to get involved sooner rather than later?

Thanks,
Nikki

The home page usually has what's going on. The home page, not the forum home page.

Yes you are correct the next event is the MWRF, and to me its not a mini macna, its the highlights of macna lol. Anyways, you can just buy your membership at the reef fest. Just buy your tickets to the event prior so that you can get early access to the frags. But your other questions I am sure a presidency member will answer them

Nikki -

The Mountain West Reef Fest is similar to events like MACNA. This will be the 3rd year for the MWRF. The 2010 MWRF was huge - in the amount of vendors and vendor giveaways, the displays, the attendance, the raffle was enormous (I am told it "blew MACNA's away!") and I would expect this year's MWRF to be as big or even bigger - and better!

You can find out all the info here:

And here is the wrap up on last years MWRF Event:
