So we bought a bicolor angelfish a few hours ago. It was fine in LFS tank, we brought it home and drip acclimated it for a bit less than two hours.

When sticking it in the tank, it immediately started swimming frantically in circles. It looks like it is doing cartwheels  then lays on sand for a 20 seconds or so and repeats the process.

I have never seen a fish do this before... is it normal? If not, will it make the other fish ill?

Some times if you drip them that long with out a heater in the container the water gets really cold

We don't use a heater during acclimation, never even crossed my mind actually... good idea though!

Well, I guess if its just cold then I wouldn't have to worry about the other fish. I of course do not want it to die, but I am just as concerned about it killing the other fish.

Im sure the other fish will be good. Hopefully the angel will be able to destress tonight and adjust to the tank

Nah... he died about 30 minutes ago. Good thing he wasn't in there long enough for me to be attached!
