My 2 pics for this month!

My wife's pink urchin, named Charlie Chaplin, due to his love of one flat piece of rock he uses as a hat at all times.  AND he collects crap so if you see a clump of shells, crabs, snails, anything else moving across the tank, stop him and rescue the live creatures!!!  man my gravel looks horrible in that pic!! my diamond goby died and my sand hasn't looked the same!!

It is a ventralis anthias.   The colors are pretty amazing on it.   Wish I could say it was in my tank!

Turn off your lights in the room. Try to block out any external light like windows. Then take pics with the flash off. Some of the really good closeups require a dslr camera with a really good macro lens. A tripod helps also. If you have led lighting it is near impossible to match the color to what your eyes see without a little photoshop magic.

How reef safe is it?

It all depends on the individual fish.  Angels in general will pick at and eat coral. But I try to keep them well fed so that is minimized.  But this angel is better than most and my coral are big enough to handle the occasional trimming.

Hi!

This is from the tank I recently took down, but I'm in the process of rebuilding it now that I'm getting settled in here in Utah.
