I purchased some live Fiji rock today, and located a little hitch hiker.  I am trying to identify this little guy.  It is no bigger than the size of a dime to a quarter with all 5 legs stretched out.  It is dark colored with white bands running down each extremity.  I believe he falls into the category of a brittle starfish but can not place a type.  Does anyone have any knowledge or can you tell me if this is a good or bad guy to have in the tank?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Just your ordinary mini brittle starfish (can't tell you the species name). They're harmless and are quite beneficial as part of a clean-up crew. It probably won't get much bigger.

There are mine brittle starfish. They are beneficial, they are mostly nocturnal. They will eat left over food and detritus.
