Whats a good reccomendation for broodstock diets? i know you want to vary and be nutritional, but whats out there that seems to work well? Anything that should definately be added or be avoided? The broodstock is a pair of photon clowns and phantom clowns.  Thanks all!------------- 54 gallon rimless mixed EA sump 1 year running |

I would say more importantly is the regularity of feeding. Most real breeders feed their anemonefish around 8 times per day. Very frequent small feedings. Keep the fish knowing there is always food coming. Adam ------------- Come to a meeting, they�re fun! |

Yes, i have already been working on that. ive been feeding 3-4 times a day already and plan to feed even more once i get the right variety of food that they seem to like and will feed them less amounts more often. ------------- 54 gallon rimless mixed EA sump 1 year running |

I guess my next thought is that if I really really wanted to make sure I was going to be successful I'd buy proven pairs from sustainable, and then feed then SA Hatchery diet. That's probably your highest chance of success. Adam ------------- Come to a meeting, they�re fun! |

good idea, ill check out the diet. i already have a photon pair that is well on their way to the first clutch of eggs as they are showing nearly all the signs of being ready to breed, constant cleaning of spots and such. so im pretty sure i will get eggs within the next few months, and i recently purchased a "mated" pair of phantoms. they are showing signs of being mated but not at all ready to breed yet. but they are making good progress so im trying to put all of them on a healthy diet to maximize the health of the broodstock and offspring, also to help encourage the spawning  we all know how expensive proven pairs can be though.------------- 54 gallon rimless mixed EA sump 1 year running |
