My return pump has decided to stop and start whenever it so chooses. It is spotless inside. So no, it doesn't need to be cleaned. Has anyone had this happen to them? It is a Via Aqua, model # is VA-1800.

Motor probably died... Via aqua isn't know for their longevity.. If you plug it in, does the magnet want to turn? Sometimes the shaft will break or the magnet may swell and break.
