I have the below Jebao wavemaker. I bought it used last year from a utahreef'er who had a big yard sale and I thought for sure we tested it before I bought it. However, I plugged it in for the first time last night (yes, it took a year for me to set up my tank) and...no lights on the controller. The power adapter's green light is lit, but I can hear the adapter making a subtle click about twice per second -- so, maybe the power brick is bad.

I would like to test my adapter and my controller independently against someone's working wavemaker to isolate the issue. Anyone in the area use this same controller who wouldn't mind a quick test?

A bad power supply would not be uncommon. I have replaced a few of them on my Jebao pumps. Do you have a voltmeter (harbor freight sells them cheap and they are more than accurate for this application) that you could test for power at the plug where it connects to the wavemaker? A replacement 24v power supply can be picked up for $15-24 on amazon.

I don't have the setup to test the wavemaker function but I do have a known working power supply that we could plug it into the see if it powers up. If you find yourself up north I'd be happy to let you try it out.

I can get my hands on a voltmeter at work so I'll try that route first. Thanks for the reply!

I might have another dual controller I can give you to see if thats the issue.

That would be sweet, too! I'll test the power brick this evening and let you know.

It was the power adapter. I'll find one online.
