Any one have tips on Culturing Phytoplankton?

I've been watching videos about it, and they recommend using F2 Fertilizer because it's "Reef Safe" but all the F2 fert. I can find has copper in it. Do I need fertilizer or just a good growing light?

Also how long do you recommend the lighting to be on? 12 hours? more or less?

Any tips or links to other threads/post would be great thanks!

F/2 is preferred because it was formulated for aquatic use. It has less copper and phosphate than terrestrial fertilizer. I bought a large bottle on ebay for like 12 bucks...

I've been growing it for a few months now. Use the f2 fertilizer. I light for 18 hours with some led grow strip lights from amazon. It's pretty simple
