I was in the Pet Factory today and they had one.  I don't know if they'd rent it out but it's worth a try.

I would buy one but I am affraid eventually it would run out of food. but I
might just have to do that.

I am sure most of our local pet stores would be willing to take the sea hare back after it does its job for some in store credit. Fish4u were I bought mine said they would alow me to return mine for 50% credit.

Also curious. Have you tried a phosephate reactor yet? I am sure mine is helping in addition to the sea hare I bought.

IMO, a Sea Hare should not be the first line of defense against algae. They can also get stuck in powerheads and overflows, causing additional problems.

Can you tell us more about the problem which is causing you to want a SH? And can you post some pics of the problem/tank?
