Step 3
Drill 2 holes 1 ¾” (on center) apart using a 1” hole
saw.
* Be
sure to center the holes and keep the drill as perpendicular to the pipe as possible.
Step 3.5
Hog out the holes to snugly fit the ½” FIPT adapters
using a drum sanding wheel
mounted in your drill

Remove the material evenly from all surfaces to avoid an oval shape hole. Using the ½” adapter, check the fit often. The ½” adapter should be snug – but not too
tight. If the adapter is too
tight – the glue will be forced out of the joint during the gluing process.
