I have a friend that owns a pest control business and he sprays my home all the time, wife hates spiders, and ive never had any problems. Do be careful, my dad had there place sprayed last year and it was a disaster! He had a fresh water tank, took the time to cover it best he could but within about an hour after the house was sprayed everything was dead. Most of his beautiful angels and tetras just desinigrated in the water! It was so sad to see everything gone, all the plants died within a couple of days as well. When I have my house done I just make sure to keep them out of the fish room, my office.  Then I have them spray around the outside of the house.  If they do the inside I turn off all air movement in the house for about half an hour while the spray dries so it doesn't circulate to the room the tank is in.

I also have to make sure they stay away from my pond.  I did accompany the guy once on a very calm day and had him spray some area's around the pond that I wanted treated, but he was VERY careful that no overspray went into the immediate pond area. 

I started with some no name company that has since been taken over by Terminex.  I have never had a problem with my tank or my pond, but I am pretty adamant that they stay away from them completely.

Our house here has a terrible problem with spiders...it's insane. I think we may have the top level done but not the basement (or maybe just the outside) since the floors are on separate HVAC systems.

*I should note our house was vacant for a year before we moved in, so I think the spiders just came b/c of that...not b/c we're weirdos with a spider problem...

Yea josh I wouldnt my wife had them come spray when I wasnt home and ever since my chalices are all receded   and lost some coral besides that.
