Its kind of like an old style rectangular aquarium strip light. It currently has a 26W Twist PC bulb installed. It could easily take a smaller bulb and be shaved to fit if necessary. I can text you a pic later.

The "special", as we call it, is a clip-on aluminum cone reflector and a 4-pack of daylight color twist PC bulbs. This combination costs less than half the price of an LED setup. The 4-pack gives you 4 years of light. According to statistics, you will not even own this setup 4 years from now. Also, these fluorescent PC bulbs in the Daylight color provide a better color spectrum for Macroalgae growth.

That's my 2 cents.

Aloha,

Mark

I know CPR makes lights specifically for their fuges, but the problem is i have a hydor slim skim in the back of mine, which is too tall and would get in the way of the light sitting properly.

I need something that would either rest on the edges of the fuge, or clip on to the wall of the fuge. Obviously i'd prefer to go LED since they last longer, but am open to any ideas. I'd really like to start growing chaeto, but until i get this figured out i cant go anywhere.

Thoughts?
