I just shattered the quartz sleeve on my Turbo Twist UV sterilizer. Has anyone else here done this before? I barely tapped it, it was frustrating. Anyway I see whole replacement parts as well as just the glass tubing. If anyone has done this before I would appreciate your recommendations. Thanks!

yeah I barely taped a quartz sleeve before too and it shattered

Depending on size... I broke mine on my 9watt and everyone said they could get in replacement parts and nobody ever could... but I know the bigger ones you can get new sleeves

Thanks for the advice, it's an 18W so hopefully I can find something. Nick I'll call them tomorrow and maybe I'll swing by your place to look at some frags if you're available.

Nick do you recall if you replaced the whole sleeve or just the quartz?

I'm a little confused isn't the sleeve the "quartz sleeve"

or I'm not exactly sure what item your calling the sleeve?

Good call, from what I have been able to find there are two parts you can buy. One is just the glass cylinder, and the other is the cylinder attached to the plastic case and fittings. I'm not sure you can buy just the glass because I have only been able to find it on one site and it doesn't seem to be the right size. But no worries I'll just call the aquarium tomorrow and see what they have.
