Hi there,

Didn't get any responses on the filtration board so thought I'd post here as well.  I have a Coralife Super Skimmer, the one rated for up to 65 gallons, hanging on the back of my 46 bow.  I've had it about 8 months now and when it works, it works great.  However, the thing constantly stops producing bubbles, then starts up again.  If I take it apart and clean it, it will instantly produce bubbles.  After a few days though, it stops skimming.  If I shake it and mess around with it for a minute, a lot of times it will start again.  Has anyone experienced this?  Someone has to have this skimmer as well.  Maybe I have installed it incorrectly.

Thanks,
Brandon Smith

The pump probably just needs a good vinegar soak.  Take out all the moving parts and soak them in vinegar overnight.  You may want to soak all the passages for the air tubing also.

White vinegar is what I use.
