After all these years, I am finally working on setting up a tank controller. I am curious as to which one is preferred and why?

Those appear to be the frontrunners. I'm curious too.

I would do a forum search. This topic has been discussed quite a bit here on the forum. I personally went with a Reef Keeper Lite because I didnt need too much out of a controller and it has worked great. Probably the best 100 bucks ive spent on this hobby. If I was going to go with a higher end controller with internet connection I would probably go with a Neptune but others will come in and say no the RKE and so forth hehe. Good luck!

Recently I have been looking at a reef angel controller. Go to their website at www.reefangel.com Seems like a nice controller that you are able to expand fairly easily. Price isn't too bad for everything that is included and their is a ton of info about this controller on rc if I remember right. I'm thinking next time I have a couple hundred sitting around doing nothing I'll get this one.
If you make it idiot proof, someone will find a better idiot!
Well 100g crashed when I moved it. Starting a 50g cube now.

I am running a Reef Angel and love it.  No issues and their support is great.

I have not heard much about the Reef Angel. I guess I will have to add that one to the list.

I have a Reefkeeper Lite and wouldn't buy another system from them.

If I were looking for a top of the line controller, Apex is the ONLY system I would consider. Digital Aquatics (Reefkeeper) has terrible internet stuff and they are miles behind Neptune.

I have been hearing a lot about how great the APEX is.
