Topic: diy auto top off Posted: May 02 2008 at 1:27pm |
I'm building an auto top off for my sump and I am looking for some advice. I only have the float switches and I need to buy the transformer, plug receptacle, etc. I am hoping someone can point towards a good electrical supply store int the valley.
Thanks in advance, -Scott

I bought the transformer, relay, and box from radioshack and I used an old powercord for the two ends, Male/Female cut in the middle to the relay box.

Thanks Kevin. What kind of relay did you use? I was thinking of picking up one of these: radioshack PC relay

Jon Finch had a topoff DIY project that had a complete listing of parts with part numbers and all - let me see if I can find it. This was years ago.

I can't find it - maybe it's been archived.
Maybe Jon still has a copy of it somewhere.

No worries Sean. I found a relay part number from an old reef central thread.
