I have no luck getting this thread working.  So I try again.......

Here is my 210g Reef Build.  About 5 years ago I sold my 75g reef tank when we moved up here from Arizona.  My intention was to get into a house and do it again.  Five years later I am going to do it right.  My 75g was a converted freshwater tank that was done over a long period of time and on the cheap.  I had nothing but troubles with all the crap equipment and lack of experiance.  So this time I waited until I had the money do it right the first time.  My intentions were to get a 150g tall, but my my said "you wont be happy with that, get the bigger one", who was I to argue?  Please, this is open to comments:

This was the location that my wife let me use.........It is in the basement.

I installed the electrical and water.  I ended up putting another circuit in
after, which I should have known better.

Taped and painted the back of the tank with chalkboard paint.

Angry
Yes the stand is orange, it was supposed to be honey maple to match
the pool table, you guys decide, does it match?
Hint, the answer is no it doesn't match.  The builder is coming out to
glaze that stand and canopy.  Now lets not bring this up anymore,
sore subject..

Here is some of the temporary plumbing, I will get plastic clamps soon.

I am already regretting the Lowes valves, leak, leak, leak.  I have teflon

taped them, siliconed them, now going to cram plumbers putty in them.

I don't really want to do my plumbing again so soon, so any other suggestions?

oh, I forgot to show my marine-aquatics custom sump/refug.

Icecap 660 for 4 3' actinic bolbs.  3 Icecap 400w ballasts.

fans on the back of the canopy, 2 pushing air out, 1 air in, will probably
switch that around later.

It looks great. Is all that electrical safe from salt creep and moisture?

It will be.  That is one thing that I am finding difficult jamming all this equipment into a stand.

This is the float valve that I will probably end up replacing later.  I
cant get it to turn off, so I ended up turning it off at the RO unit.

Here is the Fuge.  The electrical is temporary until I get my RKE delivered.

This is the full stand, cant wait to get the color fixed.

An idea of the lights.  I like how the canopy opens from the top and from
the front. Makes it easy to get into the tank and lights.

Now I'm happy, just need to figure this thing out.  Seems pretty easy,
but I just need to spent more time with it.  I am back to work now, so
I don't have as much time now.

Got everything labeled, now I just need to figure out the head unit.

I need some more rock for the look that I'm going for, plus I need
to open it up a little more for better flow.

I actually split this output spouts out both sides of the overflow, so I have
a total of 8 spouts coming out of the Dart.

I have 4 Koralia magnum 5's on the RKE wavemaker setting.  Right now
it is 2 powerheads going left for 5 minutes, then two going right for
5 minutes.  Water movement is not an issue.

Good luck on the color. Going dark is your best option. BE careful how they finish it now that its in your house. The fumes from industrial coatings (like we use) is very harmful to not only your tank inhabitants but also to the tranquility of your home. Lacquer over spray will get everywhere with out the right ventilation and the smell can get into the carpet and other fabrics. Meaning it will smell like lacquer for weeks, months.
