I just got a green bubble anenome about 2 weeks ago from a lfs and I cann;t get it to open up like it was at the store.  I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.  I have a pink tip anemone that is happy as can be.  I have been feeding it brine shrimp and fresh shrimp rotating about every three days.  my ph is between 7.9 to 8.0 depends on the time of day.  Nitrate is 0 ammonia 0 nitrite is 0.  I just got new ATI lights purple plus and blus plus right before i got it in the tank and have been keeping them on for a few hours a day and been increasing the time over the last few weeks so i don't bleach my corals i have in there now.  I put it in the bottom of the tank. it hasn't moved but won't open up like the other anemone is.  What am i doing wrong?

In my experience with anemones, they can be picky. What were the conditions at the store and how do they differ from where you have placed the anemone in your tank? Flow, lighting, depth in the tank, etc. can all cause an anemone to not be happy and not open up like it could. Maybe try changing one of the above and see if he becomes happy in a day or two?

It has attached itself to the rock.  I had it on the bottom of the tank because thats where it was in the store tank for the last 2 weeks.  i just moved it tonightcloser to the top of the tank to see if it would be happy there.  It attached to the rock but still hasn't opened up.  I will just watch it for a few days and see what it does.   thanks for the help.
