Yo! Just wondering what everybody has been using in power this summer.
I use about 250 KWh per month... that's about a 20$ something bill for the tank.

That is ridiculously low. I'm more like $100.

I was roughly at 60-85 a month. I changed out my return pump in April and I do feel like I have dropped 10-15 a month.
This is just for tanks.

I'm almost $100 a month for three tanks. All DC pumps and led lights. Manifolds on the return pump so I don't have to run other pumps.

We have 4 tanks with the quarantine system, all led except the 90 which is led/T5. $115 is approximate I think changing to the T5's their was an increase of just under $20.

OH! I can add to this one!
I've been tracking various things in my house for years now, since I was into Bitcoin mining (before I had a reef tank... that's not profitable anymore).
Note that there is a power head in the tank that is NOT tracked on the sheet, it is ran on a battery backup, on a separate circuit from the rest of the tank.
If anyone has a kill-a-watt or something and would like to add info to the sheet let me know and i'll get you Edit rights to the sheet :)

I think it funny how everyone thinks dc and led save you money on your bill. When in reality your heaters pickup the slack of saving watts on pump and lights. The only way it does if your home is around 75 degrees or plus.

I went from a 330 watt pump to a 135 pump at half power so yeah that was huge. Interesting one is I haven't overheated once this year which was a daily occasion last summer.
Also finding insulation I added did a lot to keep house temp even. In winter for other pets I keep house at 76 so hopefully reduces heater needs.
