So you know that I took down my tank, but I did not sell my SPS corals as these were my favorites. I raised them from little stubs into some pretty good colonies, and I kept them in an office tank. Well, someone decided to heat the room in the summer, last weekend, perhaps on friday. When I came in on wednesday (took a long weekend off since tuesday was a holiday) the room was 100+, needless to say everything in the tank was dead except for one cerith snail, I lost all SPS, all turbo snails and all hermits. The tank itself was around 90F, and for maybe 5 days in a row. I think the snails died first and caused a big ammonia spike as well, I have never smelt anything more foul smelling.

I'm so sorry. And there were some very nice colored colonies that you raised from pups!

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you still have a tank at home?

Thanks guys. I am restarting the tank with a couple of corals. One of my officemates is taking the skeletons and encasing them in epoxy to make paperweights.
Mark, yeah I had grand plans for some of those corals but I am more disappointed because it was from some one else's error that could have been avoided.
