QuoteReplyTopic: COCO WORM FELL OUT! LOOK Posted: November 19 2010 at 6:38pm
I noticed the last couple of days that my coco worm has not come out. I started looking around and found out that he tried to commit suicide. He fell out of his tube. I had to tear down my tank to get him. I was able to grab him and put him back into his tube. It is one of the most odd looking things I have ever seen. I took a picture and thought everyone would like to see what they really look like.

but once a worm is out of his tube you can sometimes get them to live in a piece of clear vinyl tubing.... allowing you to watch him and see him all the time.
Hm, I am curious, wouldn't the casing that they build for themselves regenerate? It would seem to me that the "tube" part is something they construct. My tube worm cements itself to a rock using this casing. I ripped if off a rock a few months ago because it had moved itself where I could not see it. After I learned what they like, I pulled it off the rock and moved it to a nice spot in the front in the sand next to a rock, with in a few days it was cemented to the rock and within a few weeks it had positioned itself so the current was where it liked it.
