I was wondering if anyone has experience with the ReeFlo Tiger Shark. I am in need of a couple hi-flow/hi-pressure pumps and am debating either the Iwaki 100RLT/Panworld 250PS  OR a ReeFlo Tiger Shark or similar ReeFlo pumps.

What is your reason for liking the Reeflo more? I have used Iwaki many times and have never had issues but was thinking of switching things up. I have heard some horror stories about Reeflo seals going bad and leaking hundreds of gallons onto the floor. Is it common? That's the main thing is that since Reeflo are direct drive pumps I have heard they aren't as reliable. I like the performance and flow curves but worry about leaking seals... Have you ever had any problems? How are they for noise?

I haven't had any seals leak. very quiet even throttled back and they stay a lot cooler. Plus they use a lot less power. You get almost twice the flow for the same amount of watts used equals less on the power bill

Awesome! I think I'll have to pick it up. I also heard they use less power when throttled back? Big smile

Go with the Reeflo. I have one going on 2 and a half years now with no problems at all. I can't even hear mine. Ryan (AD) has two running in his show tank and you would think the pumps are in the back room because it's that quite, but they are under the tank.

Yes they range in power when throttled back that's the other reason why I would get one. Then you can dial it for likings and not have to worry about burning up the pump. Josh what size of pump you running on your 210?

Reeflo pumps with the Baldor motors are very good pumps! I have had both versions of the Snapper, one with the little motor and I have had the newer one with the Baldor motor,(large motor). The seals on the small motor leaked on my twice, however the seals on the larger motor Snapper never leaked, go figure.

Dion- PM Sent

Layneframe- The Tiger Shark uses a Baldor motor so that's good to know. I am going to order one and see how it performs.
