Have you ever had CC starfish? Ever since I have had my tank (reef) the wife has begged me for one and I have always said NO!!! It just hit me to day since I have a seperate Refug can I toss it in there so she can have it and enjoy it there with out worrying about my corals and fish? What might it do to my pods? Rich

I have had two chocolate chip starfish, one starved to death, and he was in a tank full of pods and corals and never touched any of them... My other one has ignored the corals, although I"m pretty sure he has eaten a snail or two...

Oh, you mean Chocolate Chip Sea Stars?
They are easy from what I've read but not reef safe. They eat soft corals and clams. I don't know about pods.

I've kept them for months at a time! But, I was removing their legs regularly to feed harlequin shrimp.
(BTW, this is something you want to do without your wife watching. Mine is mostly disinterested in the aquarium - until I start dismembering something - then suddenly she's concerned)

Every chocolate chip I have had ate my corals...stupid things, they are kind cool looking though. Putting it in the sump isn't a bad idea though.
