We just noticed that our glass was peppered with a bunch of tiny white bugs.  I have the little "pods" and think these are different.  The biggest ones are about .5mm and I don't have a good way to get a close look to see what they look like.

I'm excited to see them - it seems that my tank is entering a new depth of life it is sustaining.  Just want to be sure they don't indicate something I should worry about.

Do they look like tiny spiders? If so then they are hydroid jellys and they will go away as the tank matures.

I have something similar and was wondering what they are. Mine aren't "bugs" but look more like a cocoon or something. They're mainly in my refugium, but i do have some in my DT clinging onto live rock. Is this close to what you have as well??

Welcome spitdrumr! I can't see your pictures right now but from your description it sounds like Pineapple Sponge which are good.

Those do look just like small pineapples - I think you got that one dead-on, Mike.  Don't think that's what I have.  Mine skit around quite a bit.

It sounds like you have the hydroid jellies Vadryn. They are a good thing and will disappear after awhile. I have a billion of those pineapple sponge things. Good to know what they are called.

If they are moving around (like with legs) they they are pods not hydroid jellys.
