Just put it in the tank tonight. It backed up to the first rock it found and started digging. It hasn't stopped in two hours. Can anyone say with certainty that tiger pistols are compatible with a yellow watchman goby? The lfs was very confident that they were.

Yes they are compatible. The Yellow Watchman is called a "Watchman" due to its relationship with a Pistol Shrimp where the goby acts as a look out or watchman for the shrimp.
