Going to be setting up my 1st tank within 2-3 weeks Clap Where is the best place to order/purchase bulk salt? I need enough for 100 gal plus extra for changes. So probably a couple buckets. Thanks Smile

I think Petvillage has the lowest prices on Salt right now. I bought a 90G salt mix for 22 bucks

Lots of salt needed = 100 gals?

That is awesome!  I mix 200 gals sometimes when I do a water change.

Yeah, I want to stock up. If I know me, before you know it I will have 700 gal combined (I have that many tanks running) and it will be just like that for water changes! Probably why I have steered away from SW thus far... I tend to jump in Smile

I know Reef runners and Aqutica sell a thing of oceanic that makes 200 gallons for either $45 or $49.

The Aquarium in Sandy has 200g bucket of oceanic for $55 i think.  And Petsmart carries Oceanic $35 for the smaller jug.  I just bought some a couple weeks ago.  I like good deals too but im not going to drive to the other end of the valley for it.

Apparently Mt Shadows stopped doing that. So I ended up getting the 200 gal Oceanic from pet solutions @ $45 w/free shipping deal on purchases over $99. Plus you get one of those nifty tall buckets Smile

At $52 a bucket that works out to $39 a bucket. Sounds pretty good. Anyone want to to go in on an order? I wouldn't mind having some extra on hand. PM me or text me @ 8015732569

Also, before you mix up 100g of water, mix just enough for the tank to be filled when full of rock and sand.

Probably will be a couple weeks yet. I still have not received my RO/DI setup, I think tomorrow; and that is going to take a little time to set-up, as I am going to locate it upstairs in my laundry closet so I can utilize the waste water...so it will need to be plumbed downstairs to my fishroom. I'm way excited and want to move fast, but if there's one thing I've learned, even with fresh water: patience...at least I try to be. LOL

I just paid $44 for a bucket of Instant Ocean at Fish-4-U.
Please support the local stores. They give us back in many many ways.
