k my question is I got two clown fish and it came with a rock with either 5 or 6 anemone's on it. think 5 but sometimes one looks like it is squished with another so not sure.....anyway.
I dont know if my tank is established enough for them and to me they just dont look good.So im wondering if I could get something else that the clown fish would take as a host that would be better for my tank right now. If so I want to trade these anemones with the rock for what ever I could get that would work with some rock also. unless who ever wants them can get them off this rock lol.all my other coral are doin real good but these. thanx

Some clowns will host in LPS or soft corals like frogspawn of xenia but i think that is rare and it does do damage to the coral. Clownfish dont need a anemone to be happy though. So if you do end up trading it the fishies will be just fine.

My mating clowns would host and breed in my ricordia mushrooms. They never liked anenomes. The mushrooms hid their eggs from the other fish it was kinda cool.
