I'm taking the plunge and am finally going to set up a reef aquarium. I have limited wall space except for in the living room but the aquarium would have to go within about 3 or 4 feet of a piano. Would it bother anyone in a tank if it were that close?

Welcome! Im in Pleasant Grove as well! If you want to drop by and see my tanks you are more than welcome to anytime!

Are you worried about the music bothering them? If so no it should be fine!

Once again WELCOME

Sweet, thanks. I would like to see them sometime.
Yeah, I was worried about the vibrations from the music. I have some very talented musicians here and the piano does get used quite a bit. Loudly, too - my son likes to play music from Transformers.  Smile

I would be more worried about the piano. The extra humidity can have negative effects on the wood. I was told to keep a tank opposite the piano if possible. I also had to have mine tuned after putting the tank in the room, just from the extra humidity in the air.

Hmmm, I might need to think about rearranging the room. Thanks.

It wouldn't worry me one bit.  You could always sell the piano!
