Topic: Opinons on skimmers on Ebay Posted: June 05 2005 at 11:30pm |
Has anyone had any experience with JEBO skimmers?
Has anyone had any experience with these skimmers? It is a Turbo Queen skimmer with Catalina Aquarium 1200 pump.

I am wondering how these skimmers perform or if they are just junk.

I think with a skimmer you're just best to take the hit and get an ASM,
Euroreef, or Aqua C.
I have a EuroReef, experience with an ASM, but never an Aqua C. I've
heard these namebrands are the best Skim for the buck.

I have been in the SW Reef for just under 1 1/2 yrs. I use the Euroreef ES5-2 and have been extremely pleased with it. No exp. with any other brands or types. In watching the messages in this forum it would seem that Xacttech has echoed what many would suggest.

rstruhs, I have used that type of skimmer before. It collects a very thin skimmate. I would agree with the above statements about the euro or asm.

I have a ASM on one tank and a AQUA C on the other. Both are excellent skimmers. If you want a Jebo skimmer you can have mine.( without the pump) I modified it a ton trying to make it work. The Seaclone 100 works better than the Jebo. If you want one of those I would make you a great deal. It has all of the recomended modifications all ready done.

Thanks everyone who posted! You verified my "gut feelings" anyway. I'll save up the money and get an ASM or Euro. I do not have the tools for a DIY anyway.
