Would somebody that has this controller mind calling me? I feel like an idiot trying to get this thing setup and running. I feel like I should be able to plug it into my laptop and away we go, but nooooo, not for me.

Sorry, I don't have time right now to call. If you are plugging directly to your laptop you need to use a Crossover cable not a normal ethernet cable. If you are going through a router then use a normal cable.
