SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium is hiring qualified individuals for our MARINE HUSBANDRY TEAM!

Husbandry Team Member Responsibilities

• Assisting Director with animal husbandry

• Maintaining fresh and saltwater aquariums

• Monitoring the health of fish, and medicating as necessary.

• Cleaning & maintaining all filtration components and equipment.

• Testing and maintaining proper water parameters.

*Has knowledge of or is willing to learn how to operate ozone machines and oxygen concentrators.

• Preparing food portions and feeding fish, invertebrates, and coral.

*Is able to help in the construction phase with plumbing of sand filters, pumps, filtration systems, protein skimmers and exhibit prep.

*Is willing to continue on with our team after we open in a part-time or full-time capacity.

Requirements

• Experience with keeping salt water aquariums and invertebrates preferred

• Possess a knowledge of disease recognition, daily tropical fish aquarium husbandry, food preparation, nutrition, and water quality preferred.

• The ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds is necessary.

*Willingness to learn and master husbandry procedures exactly and without deviation.

*Optimism, positive and cheerful team member is necessary.
