I was trying to do a little research on my bubble tip anemone but I am unsure what category an anemone falls under. The forum has categories for sps, LPS, fish, inverts, softies, ect. Does an anemone fall under one of these or are they or should they be their own category?

The reason for looking is because my bubble tip decided to go on a "walkabout" and when it got to its destination it decided it wanted to split.

I just got an anemone yesterday, it came on a rock from it's previous aquarium. In the last 24hours it has moved almost completely off of it's original rock and kind of just doing it's own thing. The clown fish that host it have kept an eye on it and seem to still want to host it which I'm glad :)

I thought only animals with an exterior shell would be considered an invertebrate hence I didn't look under inverts for anemone.   Looks as though I have learned something new today, today is a good day.

Invertebrate means literally "without a backbone". Fish and marine mammals, of course, have backbones. All other marine animals are invertebrate; coral, snails, shrimp, crabs, sea stars, etc..
