Awhile back I got some LR from Coreyk and it had a bunch of green and tan brittle stars on it.  I was thrilled -- I LOVE little starfish (even ASTERINA, for those of you trying to get them out of your tank...).  I spotted a little brittle star today, after not seeing any for a long time, and was wondering --do they ever get bigger than the size of a dime?  Or are these a variety that stay this size forever?  Just curious....

They stay tiny forever.  The largest I have seen their bodies get was maybe 1/4"-3/8" diameter (not counting their legs, of course).

This was the very first form of life I started seeing in my tank when I was cycling. What a surprise. Very cool to watch.
