One thing Ive noticed, 2 bulb systems, (t5ho) dont have enough light to do much, better than PC(op) but YOu should try finding a 6 bulb system, or do MH with t5ho sup.

Ok so is a t5 x6 better than and what I was thinking of a t5x2 + t5 x4 = 6 t5's? I know a person that is selling what I tink is a 760w MH for around $100 but it is a couple of years old. Not sure what I should do?.

MH will use a lot more power, but you will have the 20000k color option for bulbs. Dont count something out because of age, just do some research on the fixture. IMO if you have two different fixtures with two different reflectors and ballasts you will have either a really good complimentary or a bit of a color difference for the same type bulb but between fixtures. I would personally either try a 6xt5ho or get a mh if you afford the power costs.

I wouldn't worry about bothering your local store. The more you talk to them the more they trust you as a fellow hobbiest. I bother fish 4U ALL THE TIME! I'd rather know than not, and what you can't get there you'll get here. I've been doing this 1 1/2 yrs and have gone through ups and downs with my tank and half the info I got was right off this board. People here are so cool and willing to always help. Welcome to the addiction!

You can easily get the 20000K look out of T5's using blue plus bulbs from ATI. Plus a MH is going to put out TONS of heat, like you could fry an egg on the light kind of heat.

The questions is should I use 4 or 6 t5 lights. I have had some people tell me that 6 t5's is way too much light for a 75g tank.

I have 6 T5 on my 45 gallon and I wouldn't do any less. It's not way to much light as long as you make sure to light acclimate all corals when you get them. The color combos you can do with 6 are so much more then 4.

I have a couple of updated pics. I have added some more sand for an over all sand bed of 5". Also have a couple more rocks in the tank.
I still need to add a couple of power heads and better lighting before I do much more. Well that I what I am thinking any way. I really dont want to kill off alot of live stock.

Well my tank has been up and running for close to 6 months now. I thould I would post a few pics to see what everyone thinks and see if there is anything that I should change.
I am not sure what this one is but it has started growing out of my live rock
Please let me know what you think and also I love new ideas.
