Topic: Hookup my RO system :) Posted: October 15 2012 at 3:14pm |
Would anyone be willing to come hook up this RO system and maybe go to the nearby homedepot with me and buy some supplies to create an auto-topoff system? I know it is a fairly simple process from what I have read I just really like when things get done right the first time as opposed to me figuring it out and causing more damage during.

I live in Riverton. I think you should come see my two systems and me explain to you why I put them and how they are configured. I would also be more than happy to help you this coming weekend if you still need help.

Sounds good. I am off 134th and 5100 west. I usually get home around 5-8pm depending on what is broken at work. I would love to see your setup and get a visual of how it should go. I still think making a trip to homedepot this weekend would be a good idea to collect the rest of the supplies I will need that I do not know I need yet. lol

decent floats for your barrels need to be ordered from BulkReefSupply.com, or they have them in stock in Midvale at ReefOn. bulkheads you will need to order them online or buy them at a store. The tubing and pvc, lowes/home depot both work.
I live off of 12600 South near Bangater.

I'm with you on that one, which is why I hired a plumber to install my RO system LOL

If you want a ato that isn't going to fail and flood your house you will have a hard time buying the supplies at a hardware store. You will want one with a double float so if the one fails there is a back up. I have a autotopoff.com model. It works great and I have never had a prob.

DONT BUY HOME DEPOT OR LOWES water line, its super cheap and I have had 2 lines split and flooded my kitchen once and downstairs once. Go to Mountain States plumbing and buy the refrigerator water line, that way you dont have to come up with a deductible on your home owners insurance oh and two claims in a year with cancel your insurance lmao!
