Clowns are usually pretty easy to catch, if they take off I have tried putting food in a net and they normally will swim right in.

I like the coke bottle method with clowns...cut off the top of the bottle and invert it into to body. While the clown is watching, squirt some tasty food into it. They'll usually follow it in.

You could also get a fish trap....same concept except you have to close the door after the fish enters.

I used to turn off all flow and wait for water to calm. once that does get the net ready and drop in some flake food and let it float. wait for him to go up to eat and.....presto.

I'd like to take a spear gun to him. Lol. Thanks all. I'll keep working on it. Then I'll have an Onyx clown for sale.

you wait a few hours after they go to sleep and shine a really bright light in their face. Then as fast as you can swoop them with a net. I did it with two clowns I had to get out it worked great.
