I was taking some more photographs this morning with the lights out and using a flash. I have taken many shots of most of my coral, but when I took one of my blue tort, I found an old enemy was back.
I thought I would post the pictures for those who haven't witnessed them before. Although a pest that eats on acropora, they aren't as bad as most pests tend to be. And they can be eliminated if so desired using a dog heart dewormer called Interceptor.
I have used it many times over the years and it works very well , but they always seem to show up in my tank every year or so.
I have ignored them a few times because I find they aren't that big of a deal, and I don't trade frags often at all, I like to let them grow.
But if I find them harming the coral, I will dose the medication.
This is the only coral colony I have found them on again so far and thought you would want to see the pictures of them in case you haven't seen them before.
