I know the picture is horrible but what is the little red oval thing its got kinda spikes on its back and moves REALLY slowly and appears to have a velvet texture?

the spines aren't tentacle like though they are in a double row down its back and rather short and rigid

It sounds like a Chiton though I have never seen a red one. I wish we could see it better in the photo.

You can be +95% certain that any unknown critter is not going to harm anything, but rather, adds diversity to the reef tank. Another possibility is that its a Cowrie.

found a picture of it searching Chiton and nudibranch its a Chiton for sure but are they good?
