Topic: Can I put a skunk shrimp with a fire shrimp. Posted: May 13 2009 at 10:43am |
Ok we have a fire shrimp in our 55 gal reef. He is really pretty, but hides SO much. We have read that the skunk shrimp are more sociable, and so we were wondering if we would be able to put one (or 2?) in there with him? Would there be any problems? If we put in 2 plus the fire we already have, would that be too many? We actually like hand feeding them, so they wont go hungry. We have some misc. small hermits and snails, a red brittle starfish, an emerald crab, and a Potters angelfish. We HAD a yellow watchman goby, but havent seen him for like a week and a half, so we are thinking he has been turned into food by something- although we havent seen any evidence of this. We will also be getting a sea hare or lettuce nudibranch to work on our hair algae that we "inherited" as well as a pair of ocellaris clowns. -Thats not too many things is it? Most of it is really just clean up crew so we will probably get a few more fish as well eventually.
Oh- also we are getting a 12 gal. nano on friday that will be for our sons birthday, and are wondering if we could put 1 or 2 cleaner shrimp in there (we have read that they like to be kept in at least pairs so they dont get lonely or whatnot.)
Sorry this is SO long- what can I say- I love to talk- I am a girl afterall...

Yes to all questions. Yes a pair would be fine with the fire in the 55 gal. Yes a pair would be fine in the 12 gal. No worries.

What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!
