Yes, here's the tank in our unfinished basement. It was a pain to get it downstairs, but I'm glad it came down in one piece. Unfortunately, we are tight right now, due to a couple hiccups getting into the new house.

I hope to begin the project this summer, but it's all dependant upon available money.

Cool! I'm glad to see this is still a go but I sure understand that money thing.

Well, the basement is framed and the tank room turned out great. I will start HVAC, plumbing, and electrical before physically moving the tank to its final resting spot. I hope to be done in a few months.

Pics? Sure!

The last pic is for the linear pipe drain I am looking at on Reef Central. I think I have it all worked out and I like it better than a overflow tower or box.

Sorry about the grainy pictures. Without a good flash, it's difficult to get good pictures in our basement.

No progress here, but I cleaned up the framing mess and I'll have the plumber come for rough-in soon!

I am going to invest in a battery backup for the vortech that is going on the tank. I am really impressed with these powerheads.

The fish room ended up a bit of a compromise, but it works okay.   We compromised to fit two bathrooms for the three bedrooms and family room downstairs.

Oh, and you can see the 72" Maristar I bought used in the second pic above.

I bought an 80 gallon glass tank from Mike Savage that is now drilled and ready to be fitted with dividers for my sump. The refugium will still be a 40 breeder, drilled for an overflow.

My vortech battery backup has saved me more than once.  You won't be sorry!

Yep, I've had one too many tank failures from power outages. I will do what I can to prevent crashes from short-duration power outages.

I ordered the special black PVC pipe and fittings for the linear overflow on Saturday. I'm excited to be doing SOMETHING on the tank. New houses are big money sponges. I hope to do some small and inexpensive things on the tank in the next couple months.

I am ordering the heat exchanger soon, and the stand will come in the next few weeks.
