I just recently purchased rock from a guest on this site and although it is great looking rock, I got quite a few hitchhikers. The gorgeous but dreaded majano is my chief concern. Having spoken with Jeremy W. about it, he advises immediate death to the majano, but being the nervous type i started researching and have found too many differing views of the majano from control it and keep it to using napalm. Which is the correct answer? I have a 90g reef and fish tank with frogspawn, hammer, zoas, star polyps, mushrooms, a lizard blenny, chromis, a pencil urchin and 60 hermits and snails. Sorry jeremy, I just want to get all the advice I can before messing up my tank, as i am apt to do.

Joes juice is cheap and works really well. But kill them a couple at a time or it can mess with your bio load.
Also on a side note, I found out (on accident of coarse) that mercury will kill majano anemones!
Chad.
What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!

A copperbanded butterfly fish should eat the majanos, but MAY eat some of your polyps and things as well....

I've heard copperbands are somewhat iffy on majanos great on peppermints though. I think Kliens are supposed to be better on majanos but they will eat corals also.
Personally I haven't even tried a Kliens although I have used copperbands.

Kill them now or you will wish you had later.  One or ten are cool, but hundreds are not, unless you wanted an anemone only tank.

I have had great luck with Aptasia X.  Pretty much wiped them out in my tank after 3 applications over a months time.  If you have just a few you might be able to get them all at once.
