The topic title made me think that you visited that company, Rescue Alert in West Jordan. (about 15th W. on 106th S.) Two members of this group have put together a very nice ~300 gal reef in the lobby there. When you visit, ask for Richard or Jared.

I would assume that you mean Amphipod. This one is called a Grammeras:
BTW, I would move the sick/dying Astrea to the Refugium. Set it down on the ground or on a rock rather than make it expend more energy trying to hang on to the side. That way, it will either lick the macroalgae and surfaces clean of soft algae or die and be eaten by the Grammeras.
Hermit Crabs don't seem to bother "pods" but aren't needed much in a Refugium either.

way I was told to add a snail and maybe a hermit to keep the algea at
bay in the refugium. However I put one of my Margaritas in there and
the next minute he is gowing over the top. I put him back in my tank
that has a lip to keep him in.
